The Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Committee is pleased to announce the 96th Annual Awards Celebration is scheduled for Thursday, January 27th! This annual event is an opportunity for the Chamber to review the incredible highlights of the previous year and acknowledge the business champions in our community through the awarding of the Large and Small Business of the Year, Bainbridge Under 40 Young Professional of the Year, the Pioneer Award, and the Community Service Award! Along with Chamber awards, community awards such as the Pilot Club's Woman of the Year, Kiwanis Club's Man of the Year, and the Post Searchlight's Police Officer of the Year are also awarded. 

Following the awards program, a 1920's speakeasy-themed murder mystery dinner will be held by Jest Murder Mystery Company. All guests will enjoy a three-course meal, drinks, and entertainment.

More About the Chamber Awards 

Bainbridge Under 40 Young Professional of the Year 

Nominated by the Chamber Board of Directors, the Bainbridge Under 40 award honors and celebrates emerging professionals in Bainbridge and Decatur County. Ideal candidates are successful in their professions and passionate about community. Bainbridge Under 40 celebrates young professionals who have distinguished themselves in their respective industries and who, through their stewardship, are helping create a stronger, healthier community and region.

Small and Large Business of the Year

Nominated by the Chamber's Board of Directors, the small and large business of the year nominees are businesses located in Decatur County that do business exceptionally while also contributing to the community. Small businesses are considered as any business with 20 employees or less, while large businesses are 21 employees or more. Businesses must in operation for three years before they are eligiable for this award. 

Community Service Award 

The community service award is given to an individual or organization that has gone above and beyond to serve the community in their personal life or as an institution.

Pioneer Award 

The Chamber’s Pioneer Award is a lifetime achievement award given to a person who has shown great efforts in advancing our community.  The pioneer is person who led the way…broke new ground…developed something new…or forged a path for the betterment of our community.
