Karen Tobin has been named the new President of The Bainbridge – Decatur County Chamber of Commerce

Bainbridge, GA – March 28, 2023 – Karen Tobin has been named the new President of The Bainbridge – Decatur County Chamber of Commerce.  Tobin formally accepted the offer extended by the organization’s board of directors and assumed her new duties on Thursday, March 23, 2023, replacing Lauren Minor who stepped down earlier in March.

The 2023 Executive Board Chairperson, Jennifer Cannon included, “After conducting a nationwide search and hosting a number of great interviews, the Board of Directors is confident that Karen is the right person for the job.  She has hands-on experience with our program of work and understands the vision of our Chamber.  She also has the love and passion for our community!  We are excited for this new chapter.”

 “I am very grateful for the opportunity to lead the Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce”, shared Tobin.  “The relationships I have developed in the last two years serving as the Director of Events and Communications Coordinator have been such an integral part of my job here at the Chamber.  I am deeply committed to our community’s vitality.  Working in the community and alongside workforce and economic development teams, communications, and program management as well as the experience I have compiled of the day-to-day activities of the Chamber, have all prepared me for this position.”
