The Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce’s annual First Port City Bank Youth Leadership program helps local students grow as leaders while learning to make a difference in their community. Sponsored by First Port City Bank and supported by local business and community leaders, the program blends classroom learning with real-life experiences, giving students opportunities to practice teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and community service.

On Monday, December 15th, students spent time at The Salvation Army of Bainbridge. Merreann McDonald, Director, shared the organization’s mission and inspired students with the joy and importance of giving back. Students organized and sorted food donations, turning leadership lessons into meaningful action that benefits their neighbors.

The program emphasizes that leadership is not just about taking charge, it’s about serving others, working collaboratively, and making a positive difference in the community.
